Feb 23, 2014 1:21 PM in response to Denothinby randers4,Are the missing photo stream photos all older photos? If so, it's probably because you enabled photo stream on your Mac at a later date than you did on your phone. Since photo stream photos only remain in iCloud for 30 days, if you had older photo stream photos on your phone these would not have streamed to your Mac when you first enabled photo stream.

Feb 24, 2014 9:38 AM in response to Denothinby randers4,Check your phone to be sure the photos appear in the My Photo Stream album. If they do, that confirms they were successfully add to photo stream. If that were added to photo stream but don't appear on your Mac, open iPhoto on your Mac and make sure you have imported your photo stream photos to your iPhoto library. Then go to System Preferences>iCloud, uncheck Photos, restart your Mac, then go back and check Photos again.
Then test photo stream to see if new photos taken on your phone are appearing in iPhoto now.

Feb 25, 2014 11:35 AM in response to Denothinby randers4,If new photos taken on your phone to not appear in the my photo stream album on the phone, they have not been added to photo stream. Photos are only added to photo stream when your phone is connected to wifi, the camera app is closed and it has at least 20% battey life remaining. If those conditions are met, and new photos are still not added to your photo stream, save any existing photo stream photos to your camera roll, then go to Settings>iCloud>Photos, turn off My Photo Stream, then after a minute or so turn it back on. Then take a new photo and see if it is added to photo stream now.

Feb 25, 2014 12:46 PM in response to randers4by Denothin,Hi randers4
Now, I made it. I waited 30 minutes and could see the following:
167 pictures
4 videos
900 pictures and more on foto stream
I had to close my foto stream. A lot of my pictures from iPhoto where now in this album. I just want to export iPhone pictures to my Mac Book Pro and nothing else. Where did I confirm somthing wrong? What was my mistake?
Thank you very much for your help!

Feb 25, 2014 1:03 PM in response to Denothinby randers4,You're welcome.
If it's working now you didn't make any mistake. Sometimes photo stream will stop like that for no reason. Turning it off, then back on usually resolves things.

Feb 27, 2014 6:12 AM in response to randers4by Denothin,Hi randers4
My foto stream is still closed. I don't want my "Mac Book pictures" on my iPhone, there are so many.....
I just want foto stream for my pictures taken by my iPhone, only to be sure that they are safe in my Mac Book Pro.
Is it possible? If not, I will have to safe them once a month, manual, not really cool.

If your MacBook photos are being sent to your phone using photo stream, check iPhoto preferences in iPhoto>Preferences>iCloud to make sure you didn't check "Automatic Upload" (see image below). Having this checked will cause photos added to iPhoto to automatically be added to your photo stream.
With these settings, the photo stream photos from your phone will automatically be imported to your iPhoto library, but photos added to iPhoto will not automatically be added to your photo stream and appear on your phone (which is what it sounds like you want).

My settings are different, there is no possibility to choose between Automatic Import and Automatic Upload.
Why?

Mar 3, 2014 12:51 PM in response to Denothinby randers4,You must have an earlier version of iPhoto. The above image is from the current version (9.5).
