Q: How do I save my camera roll photos to my pc
How do I save my camera roll photos from my iPhone to my PC and if I buy the iPhoto app can I do it from within the app? Help

You can just import them using your usb cable without buying anything, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083. The iPhoto iOS app is for editing your photos, it won't import them to your PC.
