Q: Why won't my earphones activate Siri anymore?
I just upgraded my system software (iPhone 5C) to 7.0.6 and noticed, when attempting to hands-free call someone, that the middle button on my earphones pauses and plays music rather than opening Siri. Has anyone else had this issue? While walking to and from work, I find the hands-free Siri function really useful (it helps me avoid being a spatially unaware iPhone zombie) and would love to have this function back if possible.

Hey cobawill,
Thanks for the question. This feature should definitely still work in iOS 7.0.6, so let’s check a few things. First, I’d like you to force all applications to close and then restart your device:

Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset

Once your iPhone has powered back up, let’s check your settings to make sure that Siri is enabled:
Set up Siri - Siri - iPhone Basics - Apple Support

Thanks,
