Q: Aperture Library Question
Hi,
We have for a few years now used the "export project as new library" when filing away old projects. To clear up the main aperture library. We then have all those libraries on multiple external drives so we can go back to if and when needed.
My question is do I need to open all of my old aperture libraries every so often to make sure they get upgraded to the latest aperture version? Or will I be able to open old aperture libraries in the future, regardles of age?
Thank you in advance
Aperture 3, OS X Mavericks (10.9.1)

"Regardless of age" is indeterminate ;-) I don't know for sure whether Aperture 3.5.1 could open and upgrade an Aperture 1.0 library. There's probably some timeframe on it, but no knows how long.
I'd say that in general you may want to open your old libraries every once in a while and upgrade them. Have a backup of course of all of them before upgrading.
