Q: how do i keep photos from my phone on my computer but delete them off my phone?

my photos that i put onto my computer are still on my phone. im pretty much out of storage so i need them off. how do i keep the pictures on my computer without worrying about the 30days then loosing them thing???????

iPhone 4, iOS 7.0.5, out of memory on my phone

    Save any photo stream photos to your camera roll, then import your camera roll to your computer as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.  You will get an option to delete them from your phone after importing them to your computer.

     

    Also, photo stream photos are only removed from iCloud after 30 days, not from your phone.  A rolling collection of your last 1000 photo stream photos will remain on your phone until your delete them.  However, if you ever turn off photo stream, restore your phone, etc, they will be remove and you will only get back photo stream photos from the last 30 days (as older photo will no longer be in iCloud to download).  That's why it's important to import them to your computer while they are still in your camera roll.
