If your device is signed into someone else's iCloud account, you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and provide the password (if running iOS 7) in order to remove the account.  Once the account is removed, you can sign back in with your own Apple ID to create your own account.  You can then enable photo stream in Settings>iCloud>Photos.

So I am on Apple TV, I select Photo Stream and it asks me if I want to log into my friends account.  I say no and then I have to log in.  I use my Apple Account details and log in but I have no photos in Photo Stream.  two questions:

How do I pit photos into the Photostream album.

If I sign out (which I do becasue I have no Photos in the Photostream album) It then asks again if I want to log in using my friends log in details.  If I do that I get to see all her photos, which I don't want to see.

So how do I remove her account name and details from my history so I am not given that option?

Thanks for the response.  Sorry its a long question.

You add photos to photo steam on an iOS device (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch) or computer that is signed into your iCloud account with photo stream enabled.

As far as why you continue to be prompted about signing into your friend's account, I wouldn't think that you would be once you sign out of your friend's account and sign into your own.  If this isn't happening you may need to ask this question over in the Apple TV forum.

(And yes, you would see your friend's photo stream photos if you sign into their account.  If they want to share photos with you they should create a shared stream and invite you to subscribe rather than asking you to sign into their account.)
