Jan 24, 2014 7:06 AM in response to pennymcmcby tylerburns,Does this for me too! And the worst part is, it seems it would've behaved fine with iOS 6, but I just updated it to 7. Running 7.0.4 on a 3rd gen iPad.
Please fix this bug, Apple. Seems like this would be a common thing to do (guided access during slideshow), yet it obviously doesn't work!

Jan 24, 2014 7:17 AM in response to pennymcmcby tylerburns,Just found a workaround, thank goodness! If you setup the guided access how you like before starting the slideshow, it works! Any time you resume guided access during a slideshow is when the bug occurs. So I found that you just have to set it how you want it outside of the photo app, turn it back off, start your slideshow, turn it on, and you should be set!

Feb 27, 2014 11:30 AM in response to tylerburnsby CommanderClif,Tried you fix since I have the same problem but I'm turning off the touch commands so I can't activate the slideshow after activating guided view. Going to submit it to Apple as a bug becuase everyone is correct, it wasn't like this on iOS 6.

Feb 28, 2014 6:43 AM in response to CommanderClifby tylerburns,Yeah definitely do, because it is seriously annoying!
But if you restart the photos app, start the slideshow again, and then begin the guided access you should be good. Restarting the photo app will get rid of the bug until you edit the guided access again.

Mar 1, 2014 10:00 AM in response to tylerburnsby CommanderClif,I have submitted to Apples Ipad Feedback submit page but Apple won't respond to those submissions.

As an iOS Developer I didn't think it would hurt to submit through the Dev Bug Reporter where I'm actually likely to get a response to so I'll update if and when I hear back! Hopefully we can help them fix this bug so others don't have to worry about it in the future!
