Q: iTunes not letting me transfer music from my audio CD
I'm having trouble transferring music from this cd I bought to my i tunes library. It seems to be just a problem with that CD because I've tried others and they work fine. I keep getting a notice that says I don't have write permissions to transfer the cd yet I have write permissions on my media folder and all folders that relate to my CD inside it. Anyone know what I can do?

The easiest thing to check is if it is just this CD. Try another one. If others work, then it is likely the CD.
Try an alternative ripper such as XLD or Max. Even though you may not want that as the long-term solution it will at least indicate whether the problem is with iTunes or something else.

It is possible the CD is "good" but contains non-standard material as some modern CD may (e.g. video on a separate partition), though I don't know why this would present permission errors.

There could be other permissions errors related to rippping but not with your iTunes folder. For example, when you insert a CD, iTunes updates various files in the system area and the problem could lie there. Previously inserted CDs may not be demanding these files be updated since they already contain the information that was written prior to the permissions error. This is a related article but maybe not identical to your issue. You can try the general permissions repair suggested earlier. https://discussions.apple.com/message/17860240
