Q: sync problem

Hy there,

In order for you to solve this problem you have to follow these stept if your running windows:

1'st step is to go into the device manager

2 step is to go to portable devices (it is rught under network adapters)

3 step is to right clic apple iphone and click update drivers

4 step is to brows your drivers from C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers

After that your itunes will pump up alown and youl see your iphone right there.

Thank you, I did this and it helped!!  But you have to use the exact same file path Cerbu suggests or you won't find the right driver. After it installed, my iTunes found my iPod within seconds. Thanks again!

That didn't work for me.  I have tried everything I have found on the internet! I really need to be able to sync.  It was fine until I updated.  Tried going back to before, that worked for a few minutes, then would get message The program stopped working whenever I tried to sync.  Dang!

how do you browse your drivers? i have done this and nothing has changed itunes stil wont pick up my iphone5

for step 4 just copy C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers and paste it

I have another problem though I had most of my pics deleted, and I was trying to restore them back from my computer. I've tried the usual sync method from iTunes, but it doesn't work. Any suggestions?

Worked like a charm.  I think the key is one has to be using iTunes 11.1.5.5 and Windows 8.  I copied the path instead of typing it. These issues can be so annoying and time consuming.  I really hope those who had issues can get it resolved.
