Q: Can I retrieve a previous photostream?

I currently have photostream on that streams a few hundred photos between my iPhoto library on my MacBookPro, my iPhone 5, and my iPad mini.  However, yesterday I added an album of a few hundred photos to my iPhoto library (forgetting that I have the option checked in my iPhoto preferences to automatically upload all imported photos to my photostream).  This accidental upload resulted in my photostream reaching the 1000 picture limit and added these new pictures, losing a ton of my older pictures.  (My photostream used to be about 800 photos).  Is there any way that I could retrieve a previous photostream and delete the current stream I have now with these new pictures??

Unfortunately, no.  Photo stream photos only remain in iCloud for 30 days (allowing enough time for your devices to receive them) and are not backed up.  However, if you had photo stream set to automatically import to your iPhoto library, some or all of them should be in your iPhoto library.  If so, you could add them to photo stream from iPhoto.
