Feb 11, 2014 12:03 AM in response to BlueSanchezby Ingo2711,Did you already try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again? You will not lose data by resetting.
Any accessibility features enabled in Settings/General/Accessibility? If yes, disable them.

How to back up your data and set up as a new device
If it works after that, restore from the backup. If the problem comes back, your backup contained corrupt data.
Should the new setup not solve the problem, you'll have to get it serviced, it might be a hardware issue.

Mar 6, 2014 9:09 AM in response to BlueSanchezby @tech,If you have apps that use the sensor a lot try to delete them. Those games tempt to ware out the sensor.

My iPhone 5c had the exact same issue. Did several reboots with and without restorations, but no joy.
Took it to the local genius bar and was told to do the resets again. Same result.
Called Apple help and was told that I needed a new phone. $295 plus shipping!
By chance, I stumbled across a local enterprise, a one-man shop in the basement of his home in our small town.
He looked at the phone and said that I was to return in 45 minutes with $35. He replaced the proximity sensor. Totally fixed!!
