Why are you clicking on redeem ? Or do you mean that when trying to make a purchase that you are being prompted to enter credit card details ?

If not then after entering card details you should be able to remove them - you may being asked for them to prove that you are able to purchase from that country's store. Entering credit card details doesn't mean that the card will be charged for the purchase (unles you are trying to gift content)

When making purchases, content credits are used first, followed by Gift Certificate, iTunes Card, or Allowance Account credits; your credit card or PayPal account is then charged for any remaining balance.
