Q: What is error code 3014 when trying to upgrade to iOS6? MacBook and iTunes are all up-to-date.

I can't get my iPad2 or iPhone4 to upgrade to iOS6. Both come up with the error message 3014. I've done restarts, checked I'm running the latest version of iTunes (10.7) and updating my MacBook Pro. Still no go.

Any ideas?

iPhone 4, iOS 5.1.1, same problem with my iPhone 4 too

Thanks to writer_in_virginia... Bypass your router. Go direct from your modem to your computer. worked for me too. Saved me a trip to the Apple store and more hours wasted. Probably the ports were getting blocked somewhere in my network.

I got this the first time I tried to restore my iPhone in recovery mode, but then I tried again a few seconds later and it worked.
