Mar 8, 2014 7:46 PM in response to R1oosterby diesel vdub,★HelpfulUse a Wi-Fi hotspot and connect both devices to the same network.
If the intent is to only AirPlay content that is on the iDevice to the ATV (without the need for Internet access), use any Wireless router to create a Wi-Fi network.

Mar 8, 2014 7:54 PM in response to diesel vdubby R1ooster,So when I connect my ATV to my TV, I turn on my hot spot and go to Netflix. I can get Netflix on my iPad for streaming movies, but it won't share with my TV. The TV is telling me it doesn't recognize my network. When I go to settings, general and network on the TV screen, I'm asked to select a network. If I select other, I don't know what network to use? Does the iPad have a network assigned to it? If so, how do I access?

The Wi-Fi network name or Bluetooth name is your device name. The Wi-Fi network is 802.11g/n capable using WPA2 encryption.
