Mar 6, 2014 5:48 PM in response to derKlecksby Pete Buchta,I went ahead and swapped out my 3G fusion mac for a 512 GB SSD late 2013 model 3.2 GHz Core i5 with 16 GB 1600MHz DDR3. No problems with my MOTU 828x TB audio interface.

Mar 6, 2014 11:14 PM in response to Pete Buchtaby angelicHealing,I'm curious where you got your fusion drive swapped. I bought my iMAC at BestBuy and they did not sound very friendly about changing the hard drive...except the indicated it would be expensive.

Mar 7, 2014 6:20 AM in response to angelicHealingby Pete Buchta,I apologize that I was not clear enough. I upgraded to a new machine by swapping it out with an old one.

Mar 8, 2014 4:03 PM in response to Pete Buchtaby OctoberOblivious,Hi all - looks like we've all been having a hard time with this one. I just received my 2013 Mac Pro a week ago and had issues galore with my Presonus 1818V. Presonus has noted on their site that some of their units are simply not going to work on the Mac Pro architecture - not sure if this is PCI related or Fusion drive, Mavericks... who knows?
So, my solution - I switched to a Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 and my sound is crystal clear. My Presonus is going to Ebay.
Hope that helps some of you - looks like Focusrite is the way to go for any Mac Pro users out there.

Mar 8, 2014 9:11 PM in response to derKlecksby grantmcf,OK, It's official, I'm ******. 10.9.2 has not fixed my audio problem. I'm still get the juddering/stuttering problem on my 27" iMac with a fusion drive. I'm getting ready to drive to 1 infinite loops and throw this $2700 piece of **** right through their ******* front window !!!

Mar 8, 2014 9:14 PM in response to grantmcfby TheFiddleFreak,Don't worry, you're not alone. Have hope though... the beta for 10.9.3 explicitly lists audio issues as a focus area.

Mar 9, 2014 8:28 AM in response to grantmcfby ViennaTom,I was on 10.9.1 and audio was fine for some time. Yesterday I installed 10.9.2 to fix the ssl issue (not the audio which was good). After that audio was fine again.
Today reboot 10.9.2: white screen issue (no boot but stuck in white screen mode) which lets me re cycle the AC power then try booting again. it works. Finally arrived at Mavericks, IT DOES NO MORE RECOGNIZE MY SCARLETT 2i2 on USB. No sound except for the crappy internal speakers. So Ill try to reboot again.
WHY Apple WHY ??

Mar 9, 2014 11:52 AM in response to ViennaTomby ViennaTom,Yep just rebootet and the Audio interface works again. Also no white screen issue at startup. But: TeamViewer can no more connect !!
Is there any more nice "surprises" to expect from 10.9.2??

Mar 10, 2014 6:38 AM in response to derKlecksby michaeldmark,I installed 10.9.3 and now when I connect my 15" MacBook Pro Mid-2012, audio output through HDMI is no longer an option in Sound Preferences. This is really annoying.

Mar 13, 2014 6:16 AM in response to derKlecksby conorlap,Hi there,
My setup:
Macbook Pro (15" Retina late 2013 model with OSX 10.9.2)
Traktor Kontrol S4 audio interface (Driver: 2.6.0)
Today while using Ableton Live 9.1 to produce music my whole Macbook Pro crashed. The sound completely cut out and the keyboard and mouse were totally un-responsive, but the screen was still working and showing ableton as playing. The only solution was to force shut down the Macbook by holding the power button. The problem occurs every time I use either Ableton 9.1 or Logic Pro X going through my Kontrol S4 sound card. This is obviously a massive problem for me as I only have my Kontrol S4 to use as an external audio interface in the studio. I've been using it like that since 2011 and had no problems until I've gotten the new Macbook Pro 15" retina (late 2013 model). I previously had the problem while using the DJ software Traktor Pro, but on my last test it seemed to be fixed since 10.9.2 OSX update... but I'm still not 100% confident about it and need to test it out more.
I've endured this problem for many many months now and I'm very very tired of it. I've contacted Native Instruments support almost 20 time now for this problem, but I've not received any definitive answers.

Mar 13, 2014 4:35 PM in response to ukstuby GSCsBB1,Does anyone know how to delete the Mavericks update seed utility that came through a few threads ago? I really don't want my Mac to download every developer seed that comes by. Any suggestions?

Mar 15, 2014 12:00 AM in response to derKlecksby xenophane57,Hello everybody,
I have a late 2013 imac 27' - i7 - 32mb ram - 3tb FD - Mavericks 10.9.2
My audio interface is an Apogee Duet 2 with the latest drivers.
I can't use the 32ms buffer to monitor LPX plug-ins (I'm getting crackling).64ms seems fine however.
Is that normal or can it be related to the FD?
Thank you and have a nice weekend

Mar 15, 2014 5:20 AM in response to derKlecksby erikhj,My specs:
iMac late 2013
512 SSD
After reading about the USB2/3 issues I decided to go for FireWire with the Thunderbolt adapter. I now have a Focusrite Saffire PRO 24 DSP and so far no issues after 2 days of usage. I have been recording on all 4 inputs without problems.
