Q: My Bluetooth - Nothing is Working. HELP!

I will turn on bluetooth on my iphone 5c and the on/off slider will change to the "spinning wheel of death". This is NOT a problem of pairing but getting my bluetooth to turn on. I have already tried reseting my network settings and tuning my phone on and off. what else should i try? please no suggestions having to do with the pairing because i physically cannot pair with something if my iphone's bluetooth wont turn on in the first place. Though i guess if y'all want to know i am trying to connect to my bluetooth ihome: model iBT22. Yes it has an aux plug in which i am using know, i just really like my bluetooth option better. Also note that this is after the update 7.0.6. Also if someone could tell me how to fix my clock freezing up after i change which causes me to have to change it causing it to freeze up again, that would be great. Also started up after the update, and yes i tried turning my phone on and off. Thanks for any help/suggestions given!

iPhone 5c, iOS 7.0.6, bluethooth/clock

That is no spinning wheel of death... stop jumping to drastic conclusions.

Instead it is the iPhone working exactly as designed.  It simply means there are no bluetooth devices in range that are detected.

In fact, if for some silly reason someone were to leave that screen on, they would see that spinning circle indefinitely... again, exactly as it is designed to work.

So what is the actual problem?  Have any bluetooth devices been paired to the phone?

yes. and the thing I want it to connect to is sitting right next to my phone so yes it is in range and again this is all BEFORE the devices i can pair it to pop up. Here is an image if it helps you understand EXACTLY what my problem is:

Also, "spinning wheel of death" is a term my friends and i use for a spinning cirlce of any kind on on any apple product that takes more than 1 hour to go away. Especially on a mac because the "wheel" wont let you do anything. In fact "spinning wheel of death" is quite a common term.

Which just so happens that this "wheel" on my phone spun for over 12 hours, finally letting the bluetooth turn on and pair at around 12 pm. Oh, and i went and did other things on my phone, going back every 15-30 min to see if it was still spinning, and then, after a while, I just let my phone be. So I wasn't being "silly" and staying on that screen. Thanks for making it sound like I'm stupid, which I'm not by the way. Just because you have helped a few people on here doesn't give you the right to be rude.

Moving on. Also, as an update to my problem, after my phone had connected it proceeded to disconnect and then connect repeatedly, for about an hour before disconnecting. I am now in the process of waiting for it to reconnect. I have know been occupying myself with other things for the past 6 hours, still no connection/turning on (see above image).

Edit: i noticed on the pic that my battery symbol is showing it is low on battery. Just in case someone says that it may be because the battery is low, i would like to state that my phone had full charge when i first tried to connect my bluetooth.

    Update: Wheel now frozen.

Update: Wheel unfrozen after 5 min.

As long as the device is sitting on that screen, the spinning wheel will appear.  That simply means the device is searching for devices, regardless of it detecting any devices or not.  If you really want to kill the battery, leave it on that screen indefinitely.

If the device is not being detected, that leads me to believe that the bluetooth device is not or has never been paired with the iPhone.  If that is the case, the device must be put in pairing mode before the iPhone will connect to it.

What, if any, troubleshooting has been done so far?
