Q: Mac OS X Bootcamp and Mac OS X Server

I have a Macbook Pro (late 2013) and want to learn about OS X Server but not run it as my main OS. Can you install OSX Server in a bootcamp partition?

OS X Server is OS X.  You could load the Server.app and have at.  If you decide you don't like it, drag Server.app to the trash, reboot, and off you go.

If you really wanted to, sure, you can install OS X into a virtual machine guest, into a disk partition you've created, or onto an external disk, and boot it, and configure it.

Biggest issue with a laptop that you'll tend to encounter with OS X Server is that servers are intended to be online and running all the time, and at a static IP address; it's not typical for servers to wander around 'networks.
