Q: Does Lightning to SD Card Reader import pictures at full resolution?

Does the iPad Lightning to SD Card Reader import pictures from my camera's SD card to my iPad at full resolution, or does it shrink the file size down? Thank you

Import is at full resolution. I am not aware of any upper limit.
