Time to update to Office 2011.

Edit: That's a bit snarky of me and I will apologize. IIRC, your Entourage database is still on your system, and it SHOULD be able to be read by a newer Mail program. Was your copy of Entourage from Office 2008 or earlier?

I have the same issue (Office 2008) - I can not use Office 2011 because at my work they still use Exchange server 2003 :-(...

Are there other programs for on macbook that can handle Exchange server 2003?

I've been holding off upgrading to Mavericks until I feel like I've identified the problems I'm most likely to encounter and have a solution for them.  This concerns me, becasue I thought Office 2008, including Entourage, was good to go.  It's very definitely not a PPC application - I'm running it on Lion (which can't run PPC programs), and Activity Monitor identifies it as Kind=Intel.  Is the issue that Mavericks is misidentifying Entourage 2008 as a PPC application?

I had this problem recently, I was forced to drag Microsoft Office 2008 folder to the trash and then reinstall it from the CD. It appeared to work fine after that, although I didn't test it fully until I had reapplied all the updates.
