Q: what is ITUNES GIFT CARD CODE?

The code on the back of your itunes gift card.

I don't have an itunes gift card

I Am trying to add my Apple ID to my iPad. It asks me for a gift card code

What exactly are you doing (logging into an account, trying to download something, ... ) and what are you seeing on the screen ?

The gift card field is optional on an account, you do not have to fill it in - and as iTunes gift cards are no available in all countries you may not be able to fill it in anyway.

So I have this iPad mini. I created a new apple id for myself . And now when I try to add it to my iTunes it asks me to review my account. Then I get to this screen where I have to put in my credit card info and a code...so I bought a 25$ gift card.. But then it just says contact customer support

- click on your country's flag

- click on the Contact Support at the bottom of the left-hand column

- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

- then Purchases, Billing & Redemption
