Q: After installation of iOS 7.1, I have trouble opening PDF documents from my mails, synced from exchange

There seems to be a correlation between the installation of iOS 7.1 and the fact that it has become impossible to open PDF files as attachments of mails.

iPad Air Wi-Fi, Cellular, iOS 7.1, Mail, PDF, exchange

Found a solution in the meanwhile.

Remove the exchange account and recreate it.

    Afterwards everything works fine.

Just repeated the given solution. Removed exchange account and installed it again. Problem with pdf's still occurs

Would turning the power off after emoving the account make a difference?

Strange indeed.  I don't believe the powerswitch will bring any solvation.

I must admit that I came across others that also continued to have the problem.

Did you also try the work around : before downloading, first tap on the "dowload full message" link, and then tap on download pdf. ?

Yes, I tried the workaround and told everybody in the company to act likewise. Also to open pdf's correctly before forwarding it. That helped, but this is an enormous setback in functionality. Apple can't afford to let this go on for a long time....perhaps my English is a bit akward, sorry for that, I'm Dutch.

I work in a local governmental setting, where politicians meet paperless. Just had the elections....I have about 75 iPad users to help and remain happy. And I'm not a ICT professional at all.....an early adaptor seeing things getting out of hand right now ;)

Well I started my own thread on the same subject, but in the wrong forum...it's much busier and more fun here...

I belive this may be related to to Exchange 2007 SP3 Rollup 13 that was released in Feb. I receently installed this update and I am now seeing the same issue.

This is the only place I have found any info on the issue at this point.
