Mar 16, 2014 9:05 AM in response to bart jby Bob Timmons,You posted under a heading of using the AirPort Express as an 802.11 "b/g" device, so it is important to understand which version of the AirPort Express that you have.....and.....what version of AirPort Utility on your computer that you are trying to use.
Please locate the model number of the AirPort Express on the side or bottom of the device and post back with that information. It starts with an "A" followed by four numbers......example....A1264.
Then, please tell us what version of AirPort Utility that you are using. To do that, open AirPort Utility, click the AirPort Utility menu in the upper left corner of the screen and then click About AirPort Utility. Post back with the version number that you see there.
Finally, we do not know how you are trying to connect the Express to your new router......wireless?.....wired?.....or....what service that you want the Express to perform on your network. Can you provide a few more details about this?
