    screenshots21.jpgscreenshots22.jpgscreenshots23.jpg

    SORRY FOR THE LONG POSTS!!

Also, I had to be rather graphic, as they say a pic says a thousand words...

    However, my problem still remains...

and the funny thing is : if I do indeed let go of the SSL verification (uncheck that) and let it go back to the port it so chooses, 143; I think..

I then get all my folders, junk and almost all my inbox mail, up until a certain day, I think the 12 of this month?!!!

    Any ideas? help?

    Thanks appreciate it!

143 and no SSL is incorrect, set it correctly, if it won't work with the correct settings call Microsoft, it's their system.

993, SSL on (incoming) 587. SSL on (outgoing)

FYI, Hotmail does not support Idle, turn it off.

    Ok yes I understand that...

I guess I will have to contact Microsoft...

    By the way..

In my preferences option on Hotmail...

THe option to Turn idle off is greyed out!!!  It does NOT allow me to change it, even if I am on the correct settings of SSL and 993..

    ?

At this point I would delete the account, reboot and set it up again.

    And I would contact Microsoft.

Here's a shot of the settings I use successfully.

    use konti2.png

Its asking for you email-adr and you pasword.

And you have to wait for some minutes to dovnload you mail from the mail server.

I try to use Exchance first, its was not so easy..

Hotmail does not support Exchange, that's why it is not so easy!

POP or Imap are the choices.

I am at the end of my tether with this! I can create the hotmail mailbox on the computer but no emails show up in the inbox or as sent items or anywhere. I can bizarrely send emails from the computer but it leaves no trace.

I have followed all instructions and I have visited the Genius Bar but I still have not managed to find a solution.

Has anyone heard from Microsoft? I am desperate!

    thanks

Post the settings you are using, post them in full (Imap or POP and SMTP)

Hotmail works just fine in Mail and Airmail on Mavericks,
