Q: 10.9.2 Reboot loop no Displayport working

Installed 10.9.2 last night, had to revert back to 10.9. Apparently if there is a display connected to the Displayport the system kernel panic. I have 2 display and if I unplug the Led CinemaDisplay from the Displayport it will boot fine on the Dvi connected monitor. Was working like a charm on 10.9.1.

Mac Pro 5.1 + Radeon HD 7980

Thanks

Mac Pro 5,1 HD 7850.  Same problem with 10.9.2. DVI port, HDMI port works.  Both Mini DisplayPorts do not. If you plug in a MDP it crashes with kernel panic immediately.  I contacted Apple and engineers are looking into it. The HD 7xxx works, it is just the Mini DisplayPort causing the problem. Rolling back the AMD7000Contoller, AMDFramebuffer, AMD Support, Plus 3 other related kext.  (IOPCI....).  Did not fix. Does anybody know of the name of the kext the controls the Mini DisplayPort?

I am having the same issue, I have a 7980 in my 4,1 Mac Pro and it just keeps rebooting.  I have two 27 ACDs hooked up via mini display port. I at first thought it was my hard drive but once I took out my graphics card it booted right up.

I swapped out the 7980 with my older 6870 and am running the 2 ACDs off the two mini displayports and everything is working fine so it appears to be a issue with the Radeon HD 7980 card MDP drivers.
