ios 7.1 no service after upgrade

I upgraded 2 Verizon 5s phones to IOS 7.1 using iTunes (from 2 different computers). Both phones seemed to complete normally but after upgrade neither phone was able to connect to the cellular network. I tried resetting network, then all settings, then cleared and reset all and still can't get a signal.

I know that some sprint users are also reporting issues.

Any ideas how widespread the issue is?

Thanks for any ideas

No, soft reset still left me with no service

I did soft reset, soft reset with resend of activation from Verizon, reset network, reset all settings, reset all settings and delete content, connect to itunes and soft reset (recovery mode) all with no resolution.

Verizon reports a number of users with same issue with this version.

Hopefully my appointment with Genius Bar for phone replacement is before they run out of spares

To follow up, Apple store replaced both my phones with ones running 7.0.4. It took both of my phones about 20 minutes to activate. Apple suspects that a hardware component on the original phones was not compatible with code in the 7.1 update. Both of these phones were placed in service late-january.

I updated both new phones to 7.1 using General,Software update with no issues then restored my backup from iTunes and have no issues. Note that both of the restored backups were done after my original upgrade to 7.1.

I have the same problem: my 4S doesn't see the Verizon network. I did all the resets too, the last one with assistance over the phone from Verizon. On their end everything looks fine, but my phone still says "No Service." Very frustrating!

same issues here - both my wife and I are on EE in the UK, they cannot offer any support as both devices are under a year old and therefore warranty falls to Apple. Since updating to 7.1 both our 5S (64) can no longer connect to the EE network - for calls or data. Wireless seems unaffected.

Looks like a trip to the Apple Store... Verzion customers reporting similar issues in the US on their support forum.

Same issues here. No service to EE in the UK. Spoke to Apple online, tried to do resets and a restore but nothing worked. Wifi is fine, but I am unable to make a call or send a text message. They are going to call me in the morning. No phone in the mean time. Disgusted that the update clearly wasn't properly tested.

I have upgraded my iPhone 5 to iOS7.1 this evening, and have lost connection to the UK EE network. This is after the upgrade to iOS7.0 caused the power button to stop functioning.

Having had several iPhones over the years, I'm beginning to wonder if Apple is starting to lose its way. Certainly quality control seems to be starting to go awry.

Now I'm without a phone, which is critical for my business. So, this means time-out tomorow to buy an interim phone and get a SIM switch, as the next "Genius desk" appointment is a way off.

Not best impressed.
