Q: 2008 Black Book

Ok, last weekend I purchased, almost literally, a brand new 2008 Black Book, 13" with the Santa Rosa upgrades, for $400. Darn thing was in the original box with all documentation and cd's. It had been sitting in a closet, he didn't think it was worth anything so he'd taken it to an Apple store and I guess they just went bonkers over it when he wanted to give it away to recycle it. They talked him out of doing that, so he put it up on Craigslist, and I happened to be first in line. Question. It's running Mountain Lion. With the 4gigs of ram and 500 hd, (is it also using an upgraded processor?) can it run Maverick? And I guess I should ask, should I run Maverick? This thing is cool!! I've never seen a laptop run this quiet, and it is fast!! Think I'll keep it around for awhile.

If it can run Mountain Lion it can run Mavericks, OS 10.9.x.

And Mavericks is free from the App store. You will find App Store in the Applications folder. Double click it and sign in, using the same ID and password that got you here. Then download Mavericks.

p.s. as a collector of macs, I am envious of your find!
