Q: Why does "unhide" not work?

Hello, Fellow iTunes U Public Site Administrators.

I have been trying to unhide a couple of hidden collections in our college's public iTunes U site. But I keep getting this error message for several days:

Error when unhiding.png

Some background of these hidden collections:

These are the empty collection shells I created for instructors earlier this year when they were just planning to create content. I had to hide them because having an empty collection shell is not allowed when publishing other new collections that have content. So i had to hide these empty collection shells. Now the instructors are ready to upload content to the empty shells. I need to unhide them for the instructors to access them.

Unhiding collections is something i do frequently for the above reason. I have never had any problems in the past.

Also, i tried to unhide collections that HAVE content but were hidden. I got the same error message.

Has anyone had this issue as well?

Thank you.

    Hello,

FYI. I also submitted this question to Apple iTunes U Support and filled up the form:

    https://ssl.apple.com/support/itunes-u/public-site-manager/contact.html?form=psm &topic=Public%20Site%20Manager%20inquiry

I will post its reply when available.

    Thanks.

    Hello,

The following is part of an email reply to my reported problem from Apple iTunes U Support. Someone from Volume Purchase Program sent the email.

I understand you are trying to unhide some collections so content can be added, but you are getting an error: Failed to fetch row #0 from the current ResultSet. I apologize for any inconvenience this may be causing. I am more than happy to assist with this request.

This error is often caused by an issue with web browser caching, cookies, or browser history. To resolve the issue, you can try resetting your browser's cache. This article explains how:

    Volume Purchase Program: Cache alert

Also, make sure that you're using Apple's Safari browser. The Volume Purchase Program website was designed for Safari, and it may not work optimally in other browsers. If you're using a Mac, you can find Safari in your Applications folder. If you're using Windows, you can get Safari for Windows here:

    End of the reply.

I did not change anything to the iMac i am using. A couple of days after I had reported the problem, the "Unhide" started working again. So the problem solved itself.
