Mar 20, 2014 7:00 AM in response to Barbanitaby Sci Fi Superfly,★HelpfulI got the same problem, but on my iPhone 5s.
I used to have airplay after the iOS 7.1 but today while I was watching YouTube using airplay
it just disconnected and disappeared.
Try to reboot your iPad by pressing and holding down the (home & power buttons) at the same time for 10 - 15 seconds until you see the apple logo.
Thats what I did and it worked.
I hope this is helps

Mar 21, 2014 2:25 PM in response to Diavonexby Barbanita,Updating and turning off Apple TV solved the problem thanks. The air play symbol reappeared on iPad, iPhone 5 and iPhone 4s within seconds. I do think a hint or help from apple themselves should have been given as from far as I can see the problem was caused by upgrading to ios7!!!

Mar 21, 2014 2:32 PM in response to Barbanitaby Ralph9430,If you do not see the airplay icon where you should chances are that the airplay device is no longer connected to your Wi-Fi network. As suggested previously turn off all devices on the network, reboot the router, then turn things back on.
