But you do need to change the email address associated with it. Then you will have your Apple ID as old.address@moved.com, but within your account details you would put in new.address@newplace.com
All of your purchases are associated with your Apple ID. So if you create a new Apple ID you will no longer be able to update or re-download those purchases under the new ID.
