Mar 20, 2014 8:42 PM in response to colin225by gail from maine,Hi colin,
Here are instructions on how to prepare your device for sale:
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5661
Read them through carefully, so you understand how not to impact iCloud information used by the device you will be keeping.

I cannot turn the phones on.
Which one is which?
You're selling them and you can't turn them on?
If you can't turn one of them on and go to Settings>General>About>Name and give it a different name, you won't be able to.

Mar 20, 2014 9:02 PM in response to colin225by gail from maine,If you can't turn it on, then you will need to go to iCloud.com and sign onto your iCloud account. Then under Devices, select the one you want to sell, and wipe it. You will have to supply your password to do that. The instructions are in that same link I originally provided you with (If you no longer have your iOS device).

Mar 20, 2014 9:14 PM in response to colin225by gail from maine,★HelpfulBut since you can't turn either phone on anyway, why not wipe both of them? Wiping the iCloud account from the phones does not affect the data that you have in iCloud. If you are signed onto iCloud.com right now, all of the options you see there will remain there.
Cheers,

Mar 20, 2014 9:14 PM in response to gail from maineby colin225,That's the thing: they both have the same name!
Apple could have made it to be recognized by serial number or something like that, not just by name
It's so stupid!!!
