Q: I apparently don't have adequate memory to download a recently purchased movie. How can I recapture more memory?

Short of purchasing a new iPad, how can I recapture enough memory to download a recently purchased movie?

iPad 2 Wi-Fi, iOS 7.1

You need more local storage; free up space on iPad:

Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Delete what is not needed to free up space on iPad.

You can also download movies to iTunes (computer) and play it on iPad using Home Sharing.
