Q: i bought an ipod touch 5th gen but previous owner has not removed from itunes

What do i do?

I bought an ipod touch 5th gen off ebay and previous owner still has not removed it from his itunes :/ what do i do?

i have receipts from my purchase

i bought it from a shop..i do not think they even know who the previous owner is

how do i get it to unlock without their password?

i have restored and i cannot get past password

    You cannot use it until the previous owner removes it from their account

    Return it to the shop. As RG said, you can't use the iPod unless and until the previous owner clears it, and that's seems unlikely. It's even possible that the iPod was stolen from the original owner which would mean that you will never get it unlocked.

    the seller i purchased it from says it was deleted in iclouds etc before he sold it to me ...why is it still locked..it says currently linked to an apple id...why can there not be a system where we can check if something is stolen or lost..then this wouldnt happen :/

    The seller is mistaken or is lying to you. If they're honest, they'll take the iPod back and refund your money.

     

    There is no global, reliable database of lost or stolen items anywhere against which you could check an item with any sort of confidence.
