Dec 16, 2011 1:52 PM in response to Digneyby Planet Mongo,Yes, I agree that things posted here can help and that is why were are all here. However, you replied directly to my post which indicated you were offering a possible solution to my specific problem. I know this thread has gotten very long, but if you go back to the first post, you will see I have made numerous posts outlining the processes I have gone through in an attempt to solve the problem. Additionally, the post you replied to already implied I had birthday's loaded since I stated I have many birthday's in my iPhone 4S which are not appearing in iCloud or my iPad.

Jul 14, 2012 8:42 PM in response to k.alexanderby AEG144,This is an old thread, but I am having a variant of this problem. Some birthdays appear in iCloud; some don't, regardless of whether the birthday field is completed in Contacts/Address Book. If I create a new contact, the birthday shows. I recently migrated my contact information from Outlook (on Windows on another PC) by exporting VCF cards. The birthdays show fine on my iphone and iPad so I originally didn't think there was a problem. As I started to use the web interface more on iCloud, I noticed the issue.

Jul 15, 2012 6:26 PM in response to AEG144by AEG144,Update -- Spent 1.25 hours today with two Apple engineers; ultimately did not solve my issues. I didn't include the ipad in the testing with the Apple engineers (except from memory where I thought there were no issues). In writing this post and testing with the iPad I see I was wrong.
To sum, I have observed these behaviors:
1) Birthdays that show in ical, iphone and ipad, but not icloud.
2) Birthdays that show in ical, iphone but not ipad nor icloud.
3) Birthdays that don't show anywhere.
4) Birthdays that show everywhere.
I suspect like most of the problems stem from importing VCFs from Outlook. However, I also created two contacts today that appeared everywhere but icloud and ipad; I waited more than an hour before saying that they didn't show on either.
Since birthday items are showing up almost 100% on ical and iphone, I am not going to sweat the remaining issues. Yeah, it should just work but I have other things to do in this life :-).
Regards,
AEG

Jan 28, 2014 4:24 PM in response to k.alexanderby ccandace,Apple still has not resolved the issue, nor do they seem willing to do so. The problem still exists. Birthdays show up on all iDevices, but they do not show up online in icloud.com. The 2 Apple support persons I spoke with yesterday (1/27/14!) said that they had never heard of this issue before (really?). I was transferred to a supervisor who also couldn't help me. He said it must be a server issue since the birthdays show up on all other devices but not online, and that they couldn't work on the problem because they would have to shut down the server to do so.
The Birthdays are a "subscription" calendar in that the events (AKA birthdays) are not entered into the Calendar feature directly; they are pulled from another source (Contacts).
He suggested that I add a Calendar, title it "Birthdays", and manually add each birthday into that calendar instead of using the birthday field in my Contacts. Are you kidding me??

Jan 29, 2014 6:43 AM in response to k.alexanderby CeeJay591,ccandace, you certainly are not alone - I also RECENTLY have encountered exactly the same problem - birthdays appearing in all iDevices and Mac but not in iCloud calendar. Seems like Apple's "Server" has a major issue, and so perhaps they should shut it down and fix it.
I think Apple just does not put in a lot of effort to support their web-based applications like the iCloud web portal.

Mar 25, 2014 12:36 PM in response to Dave Ingsby georgeny,Have what I guess is same issue. All my birthdays have disappeared for most part on my desktop calendar yet they all appear fine on my Ipad, Itouch, and Iphone. If I add birthday to desktop it appears as a duplicate on all other devices. So now all my calendars are a okay except my main desktop.
I read somewhere on these boards that they, calendar, have a problem handling things like birthdays that are set to appear infinitum for future years.
Now SUDDENLY the same type entry, meaning always continue to enter this item into future, my payday, has suddebnly disappearred from DESKTOP calendar yet they still appear on my other calenders. Had set for last weekday of month entry, poof gone!
Since never had this problem when updating manually via connect to Itunes, only since CLOUD forcibly mandated for updating calendar and contacts etc via Icloud. I have to think Icloud problem. Exactly why I didn't want some server in the " sky " handling my data isntead of me!!

http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4337
A lot of work to get the dam calendar to do what it should simply be already doing. And didn't have this problem last year started recently for me. So they had problem must have exported it to rest of us?
