1. Pages
2. Numbers
3. Keynote
4. iPhoto
5. iMovie
6. GarageBand
If apps are still showing the price: sign out>reboot>and sign in again
Settings>iTunes and App Store>Apple ID

Mar 25, 2014 7:37 AM in response to Sisemenby Ralph9430,The apps are free but they do not come preloaded on the iPad. Use the App Store app and search for the apps. You should see Free next to the apps. Tap the Free to begin the download process.

Eventually I had to take it in to the Apple store in Perth. "No problems" they said expecting a rapid fix. 90 minutes later and three separate attempts to fix the problem eventually resulted in a fix.
I was quite pleased that it almost defeated the experts and that it wasn't just me with finger trouble!!
