Dec 28, 2013 12:04 PM in response to AlexTB44by the3dg,I found the song and unchecked it and syncing proceeded. Then rechecked it. I have Manually manage music and videos checked in Options. I put my PC to sleep in the middle of syncing via Wi-Fi. Thanks AlexTB44

Jan 8, 2014 8:57 PM in response to AlexTB44by Casseur,This seems to be a good temp solution. It worked for me. Not sure what's up but I keep having more problems than ever with iTunes and so does everyone else.

Jan 16, 2014 4:20 PM in response to AlexTB44by Kallendbor,This fixed the issue for me.
Originally, I thought it just wasn't syncing music at all. Then iI saw it start syncing, the iTunes cancelled sync. Changed my search terms for the problem, came to this thread, and whammo. Unchecked the two songs and now I'm syncing like a champ. Thank you. I did not want to do a full restore.

Jan 24, 2014 2:30 PM in response to ImUrHaLoby davidg2020,There are lots of solutions here... I tried a few with no success.
I did eventually manage to fix it by turning "sync via wi-fi" OFF. I had the iPad connceted to the Mac via USB all the time but it was still cancelling.
My guess is if you have it turned on wi-fi takes priority over USB and, if wi-fi times out, the sync cancels, regardless of the USB connection.
I may be wrong... but it worked for me.

Mar 6, 2014 1:32 PM in response to ImUrHaLoby brayrayful,Hi all,
I found a solution so thought I would share it with you all to see if you have any successes.
N.B. The iPad will need to be restored to factory settings during this process, so would be a good idea to copy any photos etc. that you have on there to desktop to save losing them.
1. Connect iPad to iTunes (wired connection)
2. Click Restore iPad (not from backup)
3. When iPad has restored go through the set up process
4. When it comes to signing in with your Apple ID - SKIP THIS STEP!!! This is imperative!!
5. After finishing set up, iPad will appear in your iTunes
6. Sync iPad - this should then sync all of your music with no greyed out "Ghost" songs
7. Go into settings and sign in with your Apple ID
8. Sync iPad again
9. Back iPad up to the iCloud
10. Enjoy your as new iPad.
Please let me know if you thought this was helpful.
Thanks

Mar 27, 2014 1:28 PM in response to ImUrHaLoby manofdogz,This has just happened to me having got a new iPhone 5S. I restored the new phone from a backup of my old iPhone 4 and music just would not sync - cancelled sync and then stayed stuck on cancelling.
As an experiment, I have just tried setting it up as a 'new phone' instead and eveything syncs perfectly.
Indicates to me that the bug lies somewhere in the itunes back-up.

May 2, 2014 10:23 PM in response to ImUrHaLoby CaptainSparklez,The answer is to uncheck "Sync Music", then sync it. After it is comleted recheck "Sync Music" then sync it and it should sync ALL of your music you have selected in one go.
Hope this Helps:)

May 28, 2014 9:37 PM in response to CaptainSparklezby rstantonnj,All that uncheck "Sync Music", syncing and then rechecking "Sync Music" did was to remove the music from my iPhone and leave me with only a few songs. The second sync cancelled out. I've tried resetting my iPod to factory settings, going from wired sync to wifi sync and back, removing songs and playlists. This is crazy. It's happening to all of the devices in my family. Help!

Jun 10, 2014 9:34 AM in response to _gpzby rstantonnj,Thanks gpz,
I just tried this, but still no luck. It's very frustrating.
I'd say it was the device, but it happens with my business iPhone on my business laptop (where I have a small set of music) and it happens on my home PC with my daughters' iTouches, iPhones and my iPad. After a couple of songs, sync cancels.

Jul 27, 2014 8:32 PM in response to ImUrHaLoby elmeroperez,ok i may have found a solution..
i had the same problem, iTunes would suddenly stop syncing and would cancel but what i realized is that out of all the songs, the ones that would not sync where the ones below a specific song. so what i did is deleted the artwork of that song, then tried syncing again. and it worked! i suggest if it doesn't work for you try deleting that one song only. if it is the same for you that all the songs below a certain song do not sync just delete the atwork, and it should work..well it worked for me this time. (:
good luck!

Jul 30, 2014 2:54 AM in response to ImUrHaLoby Niniku-chan,I had the same problem, but I was able to fix it. 1st, make sure you have enough space. Then after that if you are trying to sync more than 100 songs at once break them up into more than one playlist(Less than 100 has never been a problem for me, but if it is for you break up the play lists even more). Then sync ONE playlist at a time, after the sync is done, turn off your phone and turn it back on. The 100 songs you just synced should be there. Then do the same with your next playlist. Just remember to restart your phone every time. I hope this helps, it seemed to work for me.
also try a different cord.

Aug 5, 2014 5:30 PM in response to davidg2020by Timothy Nicholas Jones,This really makes me wonder.... I started having a lot of issues with my iphone sync yesterday. Exact same issue everyone on this thread seems to report. Today I've just started from scratch by restoring iphone and then restoring from backup once it reinstalled iOS. I'm currently in the process of waiting the 16-20 hours needed for my music collection to transcode and sync.
But I remember I did tick the sync via wifi option yesterday as I hadn't before. I think it remained on the whole time I was having issues....
