    Hello Vanamakda,

It is certainly difficult to use the computer if your wireless keyboard is not responding.  I found a few resources I recommend for this issue.

First, I recommend reviewing the section titled "Wireless Connection issue" in the following article:

Troubleshooting wireless mouse and keyboard issues

If the issue persists, I recommend reviewing the section titled "Top troubleshooting tips" in the article below.  Step 9 specifically stands out to me for the issue you described:

    9. Restart your computer
Sometimes a simple restart of your Mac is all it takes to get things running smoothly again. You may also want to try resetting your computer's PRAM and NVRAM.

    Bluetooth Quick Assist

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

    Best,

    Sheila M.

    Hello vanamakda

Show Character viewer on your screen.   Then, press one or two keys.   If they are highlighted in the character viewer, you connection is good.

To check that, have you got a small green LED light showing?

If not you have probably got a battery problem; post back.

Thanks. I had done that. The green light was on, the Barry was ok, the keyboard was even acknowledged in terms of Bluetooth connection (the computer detected the keyboard). But when I was pressing keys, none would be highlighted on the keyboard viewer. I restarted the computer: no change. No change 5 minutes later either. But after 10 minutes it suddenly worked. I can't explain why!

Thanks for your willingness to help!
