Q: I would like to download my library from itunes on to a new computer

I bought a new computer and I'd like to download my itunes.....What is the process?

    Transfer them from a backup or the old computer, or use these instructions to redownload them through the iCloud.

    No, you really do not.  That is a waste of time and bandwidth.

     

    Copy the ENTIRE iTunes folder from the old computer (or backup of the old computer) to the new computer.  Everything in iTunes on the new computer will be exactly as it was on the old computer.  This is much faster than downloading the content again and will retain all playlists, playcounts, and ratings.
