Q: How do I locate the original file on songs in my  Itunes library?

suddenly nearly all of my Itunes songs have the exclamation point with the message, unable to locate original file. How do I fix this?

iPod classic, Windows 7, Ipod is classic/itunes on Windows 7

    Have you moved or deleted anything on your computer ? The exclamation mark indicates that the music files are no longer on your computer where iTunes is expecting to find them, which could be because a directory has been deleted, moved or renamed, or if the media was on external drive then it's drive letter has changed.

    If you can't locate it on your computer (and you've checked the recycle bin as well) then do you have a copy of your library on a backup drive that you could copy it back from ?
