Q: My Scanjet 4850 doesn't work since I upgraded to Apple OS X Mavericks

My Scanjet 4850 doesn't work since I upgraded to Apple OS X Mavericks. It scans but doesn't save file and when it does save it's not readable. Has this problem been solved?

MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.2)
