Q: Any chance to disable/skip a specific update in Maverick?

I would like to disable iMovie from updating as i need to stick to the version I have installed in my computer. Any suggestions how to do that?

Thanks for any help!

You can't and I tried many times. If you download the update, it should put iMovie 9.0.9 in a folder and you can select it from there. If you want, put iMovie 9.0.9 in a folder before installing the update.

    Thanks Eric,

In my case I have no possibility of updating as the app is registered to a universtity licence-Apple ID I have no more access to, but I am still allowed to use the old version. In that particular case, is there any possibility to disable the notifications about this specific update then?

    You are welcome.

You can try this, but I was never able to make it work for iMovie.

What I did was send in feedback to Apple. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.
