Q: how do I delete all photos from iPhone 5 iOS7 - I do not want to upload them to my computer

The fastest way to delete them on your phone using iOS 7 is to open the photos app, tap Photos on the bottom left, enter the Moments view, tap Select, tap Select to the right of each of the moments (which will select every photo in the moment), then tap the trash icon.  There is no "select all" option on the phone.

Thank you so much!  I have struggled with this all evening and you solved it.

The easiest way to do it is downloading picas a (free, safe and easy to use program) and when you import the photos from your phone, in the bottom will have an option to delete only copied pictures from the phone.  It will do it for you in a second!!

how come when i select the trash box does not highlight? 

I have follow the steps detailed above, and it worked on only a small fraction of my photos.  I have over 2000+ photos that I can not delete from my 5s.  It is taking up over 3/4 of my 16GB.  How do I delete these photos?

I think this old method still works -- note that you do NOT need to import anything (just open the import window):

• connect iPhone to mac
• open preview
• file > import from iphone
• command + A to select all photos
• click the delete symbol on the bottom

or just plug your iphone into your mac, open up iphoto and there will be a button right under the import section which says remove photos from this iphone. I  think this is the easiest way personally.

Usually there are many ways to delete photos from you iPhone one of these that mentioned by randers4 but in case you have more than 1000 that may take some time, so by using your computer is better.

I hope to be useful and shortens the trouble of searching for other people.

I just tested the 'moments' method on one photo and it deleted the same photo on my iPad, which I do NOT want to do.  Is there a way to prevent that?

I've got another problem to delete the album in my iphone... There is an option select, but once the photos have been selected, there is no icon trash to delete them... Any ideas?
