Apr 3, 2014 3:49 PM in response to Bronco46by Limnos,Let me guess (since you do not provide this information ahead of time). You keep your iTunes files on your internal drive but the media files on an external drive?
Have you tried actually trying to find a file when it asks? Re-link the iTunes reference to an actual file? If it really is only a "few" it will be a lot easier than other ways we can suggest (especially since some of them no longer seem to work).
I am wearing my reading glasses today so I don't need 24 point font.

Apr 3, 2014 3:59 PM in response to Limnosby Bronco46,It's 18 point actually. I don't remember how I lost these; it was back in 2009. I was looking at the get info data for something else and noticed the where: information. I'd like to locate these because I don't have the CD'a anymore.
I don't have my music files on a separate drive. I searced that description using spotlight without any luck.

Apr 3, 2014 4:39 PM in response to Bronco46by Limnos,When you add a file to iTunes the application puts it in the media folder in a logical series of folders, then it makes a track entry in the database which is what you see in iTunes. You need to relink the entry with an actual file on your computer, best found either by looking in the logical places or by doing a Spotlight search. If the file truly is missing it will have to be restored from your backup.
