Q: irish i tunes gift card, uk account

Can anyone advise me, I have a uk itunes account but am currently on holiday in ireland where I purchased a gift card.  My account will not let me add it.  any suggestions? or ways around this?

    iTunes cards are specific to the country in which they are issued. You cannot use an Irish card in a UK iTunes Store account. If you can return the card for a refund, do so. Otherwise you'll need to sell or give the card to someone there in Ireland who can use it.
