Jul 24, 2013 8:36 PM in response to Musikene20by Soye131,Take some personal responsibility here. If these photos were as important as you have indicated, then you should have made absolutely certain that they were backed up correctly and completely before deleting them, essentially, from your camera!
For all the wonderful things that Apple is, they are not magic. Sorry they can't pull photos out of thin air. But again, they are in good company with every other camera manufacturer in the world....

Jul 31, 2013 10:21 AM in response to amy_louby Jackman0,While normally I'd agree, Apple has taken upon itself to reach a specific demographic: the non-technically inclined. They've gone out of their way to include services and features in their products that wouldn't be considered appropriate or wise by other tech companies.
We might even go as far as to say that Apple is no longer a tech company. It provides communications infrastructure, hardware, software, short-term support, long-term support, sales, warranty services, a repair and support network, certification programs, etc. What other company might have come close to this? The example that comes to mind is Ma Bell, and I've never met anyone that would call Bell a tech company or a provider of tech products.
Aside from the interpretation of Apple's mission, I think it's worth mentioning that Apple products were the first products I ever used that had such a thing as a Trash. The frustrating thing that I find about the iPhone is that there is no Trash or exposed file system. Why would you train your user base to depend on a Trash and then conveniently leave it out in a key product?

Aug 10, 2013 9:36 AM in response to Jackman0by Libby101a,I understand to some degree where you are coming from. However, when you purchase a product there is some responsibility in using it. Apple has advanced technology but they can only hold a person's hand so far... the end user must step up and read up on their device if they put that much faith into it. There's no reason to blame Apple if a person didn't back up their device...it's like going camping without food, who are you going to blame the grocery store? The tools are there you just have to use them!

Nov 16, 2013 7:38 AM in response to Musikene20by mohtisham, hello All...i tried all the above mentioned softwares none of them is working properly...i upgrade iphone 4s in recovery mode and wasn't having any backup on iCloud or iTunes so, all of my data is lost. Why i it did because iphone wasn't starting up it was stuck on apple logo screen.
But i am unable to figure out why there is no good recovery software like we can recover data very easily when we by mistake format a HDD. NAND storage is something special which deletes the data in unrecoverable way? i don't think so...any suggestion?

Dec 14, 2013 10:20 PM in response to Musikene20by Michael201312,My iPhone5S also encountered similar problems, and now I'm looking for the right software to solve my problem on the internet. I heard there is an iPhone data recovery tool which can not only recover lost files directly from the iPhone device, but also extract the lost data from iTunes backup files.

Dec 26, 2013 10:36 PM in response to Musikene20by ireland_luv,I had the same problem but my phone is set to automatically back up and I was able to recover the pictures from 2 places:my backup (using the restore feature) and my icloud account. Have you checked to see if you have either of these? Perhaps the pictures are there.

Apr 5, 2014 1:36 PM in response to gail from maineby foden2,. I agree that it is very easy on the iPhone to accidentally delete a photo because when the bin symbol is touched (deliberately or as often happens not deliberately) the next thing you see is two buttons 1 delete(red) 2cancel and if you do have the missfortune to swipe or touch the wrong one you get no second chance at all. One protection could be an "are you sure" button enabled/disabled in settings or another protection could be the original trash can file Since you found it acceptable to advise (and sarcastically too) musikene20 about his personal failings then I know you won't mind me saying . . . Its all very well telling Musikene20 to "man up on this one " ( which seems humorous to you perhaps but is actually not in any way going to help him) but you will find as you age that you will at least on one or two occasions do something accidentally, in a hurry maybe or perhaps with your mind on a poorly mother father or child. Now you can begin to see how a little bit of ingenuity on Apples behalf could indeed ease certain problems. I too am an Apple fan but you are right in saying Apple "are not magic" but an "are you sure" option is not magic either. please take this well i'm not being a wise guy all the best foden2
note to the editor if you see fit to not post this please dont let others put up personal advise to people its not helpfull its only inflamatory
