Q: my iphone screen went black but phone is still on and its charging. HELP

I also had the same problem, found this reply after a simple Google search, and it also worked for me. Thank goodness; probably saved me at least a hundred bucks had I gone to an Apple store in search of repair

Thanks a ton, that worked, and was delighted to see the Apple light come on.  For others with the same problem, not sure if these events are related, but I recently updated my IOS, and although it restarted, I never did this full reboot.  Also, it went to black right after I plugged the Mophie case, with phone inside it, into a car charger.  Just tossing those out to support finding a root cause.

I have the same problem. This has happened twice but the first time it was stuck on a dim screen. But know I will be in an app or icon and it will go to black. It is so annoying that now whenever i unlock it, it immediately goes to black and now it will not come back on no matter what I do. The home+lock button thing doesnt work for it. But it is still on and rings but doesnt light up. I need HELP just like you!

Why don't you start by reading the thread you just posted in and try the solutions that already helped others.

Same problem and also my lock button is broken. I've been sat for the past 4 hours flicking the silent switch on and off hoping the vibration will drain the battery in an attempt to reset the phone. No luck so far.

You have done the same as what I did i think, you have put a screen cover over your screen and what you do is tap your screen 3 times with 3 fingers and then sort out your accessibility options on settings
