Q: I keep loosing my wifi connection. I have up to 11 devices using my air port extreme. Is that my issue? When I go to reset my router the green light is still on.

I keep loosing my wifi connection. I have up to 11 devices using my air port extreme. Do I have to many devices with this router? Every time I go to reset my router the light is always green.

iPhone 5, iOS 7.0.1

    # of devices doesn't usually matter, what matters more is what's being done wirelessly, ie if you have 2 super HD netflix streaming you won't have the benefit of your full speed since a large part of it is being used

     

    you'll have to start breaking it down by steps. when you lose your connection, is it across all your devices, just one, same spot in the house? at the same time, if you connect via eth to your extreme, is that connection lost, too, or just wirelessly?

    All devices all over the house. Have nothing connected to ethnic.

    that makes it easier, so you get a complete wireless dropout

     

    who is your ISP and what is the make/model of that box

     

    which specific apple extreme do you have

     

    this depends on the ISP box you have, but can you also connect a computer to it via ethernet? next time you get a dropout, see if that computer that is wired to the ISP box still can connect.
