Q: In Pages, where is Copy Ruler?  I Miss it!

The Subject says it-all.  [Happy New Year!]

Besides this, my iMac scrolls _wildly_ practically all-on its own, both Up & Down and Side to-Side.  :-(  :-(

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2), 2.5 GHz Intel Core I5 P. & 4 GB M.

I miss it too. Is there some substitute?

Tabs and other ruler items in Pages remind me more of HTML than any real page layout system I have ever seen.

There is a copy style command. It not only copies the text style of the selected paragraph (or line) it also copies the ruler settings. Not quite as handy as copy ruler but it almost suffices.

Yes, I am going to give up on Pages. (see other thread by me)

    So many many infuriating "features".

My problem turned out to be an inline graphic line, which (no matter what I tried) ALWAYS screwed up tabs beyond that point.

Changing the line to "floating" fixed it, but then the line does not shift down when I add lines above it. Very very crazy stuff.

I only want Copy Ruler Tabs, etc. Some 3rd party app will probably work much more like Apple Works, just not be able to import old docs. I will keep Pages around as a translator.

Thank you, man in London, England.  [I hope that life Across the Water is good, including your Queen.  :-) ]

Oh, how much better and more 'user ffiendly' was Apple Works (and even MacWrite, yes, the 1 but also the 2!)
GIVE US BACK APPLE WORKS, easy spreadheet, easy drawing, quick, light, integrated!
Maybe Pages and Numbers are good for a high professional little minority of us but drawing is now impossible and I'm going to use more and more Google Drive… but I'm not happy for it, after 30 years (!!!!) of faitfulness to Mac ONLY!
