NOT HAPPY.... I am also having this same trouble as are fellow co-workers.

I have an iPhone 4S... iPad 3... MacBook Pro and iMac desktop both running Aperture 3. All are running the latest upgrades. Photostream used to work perfectly! It was a dream come true. Now it seems to just randomly select which photos it wants to add to my photostream. Well perhaps not so randomly... I take all my photos with my iPhone it seems to be that ti chooses the same photos to add to photo stream on all my devices and leave off all the same photos! Very frustrating! ;((

What is even more frustrating is there doesn't seem to be a solution on any of the Apple troubleshooting sites...including this one! Everyone seems to post their own idea of what the trouble is and why it doesn't work anymore. APPLE doesn't seem to be solving this frustrating issue. I even set up a Genius Bar appointment to try and solve this and spent close to an hour there with NO results. The Genius (nice but not helpful) seemed to suggest trying the same things I already tried. There is one thing he suggested which I may try which is to completely reset my mobile devices from sratch as if new. Which of course is a frustrating fix...if it is a fix.

I do hope APPLE will recognize this issue sooner rather then later and solve this probem. I had grown to trust photostream but now fear loosing valuable memories that are no longer automactically backed up.

    PLEASE FIX IT!!!

Me too. It is a real pain. If I take 12 pictures outside, go back into WiFi range,  only 11 will make it to photostream and the other devices. Which one is missing is random.

    - It has been happening for months

    - I used to have a PC, I have just bought a Macbook Pro with Mavericks (same issue)

    - It still occurs with IOS 7.1 (I use an iPhone 4S)

    - It is an on-going problem

    Please fix it Apple

My workaround to this and Mac iPhoto is as follows:

    - I manage my photos on the mac with Google Picassa (a great program with good web album functionality)

    - I get the newly syncd photos from iPhoto and drag them into Picassa

    - Picassa gives you the ability do do what you want wityh photos, rather than mucking around with iPhoto

    - Then I clean iPhoto out

    - I have an iPhone app called PhotoSync to pick up the ones that go missing. This is a very easy to use app and also works phone to phone-pad

A painful workaround, to photostream but I does work.

    Cheers

    Tony

I'm fed up also. First they mess up Pages so it doesn't allow the old version to open the new files and my iBook is limited to Lion so I can't use the new version. The Ipad makes new files that don't open on the ibook. Then Mail is a total mess after 2 fixes. Now Photostream won't work.  I've supported Apple since the AppleIIc but never been this disgusted. I wonder what will happen next. Someone suggested PhotoSync. I downloaded it and am going to try it tonite.

Updated to iOS 7.1 on iPhone 5 and PhotoStream works perfect when connected to WIFI.

There's been too many red herrings that initially purported to solve this problem.

I think I'll wait and watch awhile before trying to upgrade to 3.1 again.

    Hope its fixed though.

Yes, there are a few red herrings here.

However, to add to my previous post. The issue presents itself whether the phone has taken the photos in or out of WiFi range. I took five photos yesterday, when connected to WiFi, and only two made it to photostream.

Perhaps the 4s is getting old like me!

Ever since I've owned my Iphone 4S the photstream hasn't worked with my Windows' 8. Tested it on myhusbands laptop with Window's 7 and it works fine. After updating to windows 8.1 I notice some pictures were in my photstream. Since updating my phone to ios 7 It doesn't work anymore? I give up on automatic transfering.

Do you close the camera app, when you try to upload and connect to your Wi-Fi?  iOS 7 is keeping all apps open, unless you manually close them. And the photo stream will not upload any photos, unless the Camera.app has been closed.

    Hi Yasmin

I think you problem is something else. This discussion relates to people what have had photostraem working for a while on both Mac and PC. It works for them most of the time.

Your issue appears to be that it is not working at all. There are a number of topics on this and this link will help: https://www.apple.com/support/icloud/photo-stream/.

Photostream does work with a PC. BTW, have you got the iCloud add in running on your PC. Without that you are nowhere.

    Cheers

    Macbook Pro running Mavericks

iPad 2 (wifi only) running iOS 7.1

So I'm having a wacky issue with Photostream like everyone else only mine seems slightly different.

First I test it using the iPad:

    1. I take a photo with iPad camera.

    2. The photo immdiately shows up in iPad's Camera Roll AND shows up in the iPad's Photostream album.

    3. The new photo ALSO shows up in my April Photostream project (in Aperture) on my Macbook. So far so good! Any photo taken with the iPad camera goes up to iCloud and comes back down to my Macbook just fine. So for part ONE we're good.

Here is where it gets not so good... it only seems to do THAT and nothing else it's supposed to do.

Issue #1: It won't sync deletions. When I DELETE the new photo from the iPad Photostream album, it does NOT delete from my Macbook Photostream project. And vice versa. If I delele a photo from the Macbook Photostream project it won't delete from the iPad.

Issue #2: It won't sync ADDITIONS initiated on the Macbook. If I drag a photo into the Macbook Photostream project, it will NEVER show up in my iPad Photostream album.

Conclusion #1: Photostream is smoking crack and there's really no way of telling why. It could be iOS 7.1 or it could be Mavericks. Or it could be a solar eclipse. Or unicorns. ((sigh))

Conclusion #2: Apple doesn't give a crap apparently, since this has been a known issue since iOS 7, according to the hundreds of posts I've seen about it.

    Thanks for listening.

It won't sync deletions. When I DELETE the new photo from the iPad Photostream album, it does NOT delete from my Macbook Photostream project.

Monica, are you deleting from the monthly project "April ...." or from "My Photo Stream"?  Changes to the monthly, auto imported Photo Stream projects are not supposed to sync, only the changes to your "My Photo Stream" view and your Shared Photo Streams in the "iCloud" section of the Aperture Library.  The monthly projects in your Aperture library are only local to the library, and what has been imported there will stay, when you remove the corresponding photo from My Photo Stream on your Mac or iPad.

Thank you Leonie. What you said makes sense, however I don't see a project in Aperture called "My Photostream.,"  The only photostream projects I see are the automatically imported monthly ones.

When I take a photo with my iPad, it shows up in the most current MONTHLY Photostream project. So naturally, the monthly photostream projects are where I thought all photostream activity would take place.

As I mentioned a moment ago, I looked through all my projects and I don't show a singular project called "My Photostream" which combines all the monthly photostream pics into one project. Is that what you mean I should have?

    Thanks!

    Monica

Leonie replied to me but for some reason I can't find her reply on this thread.

And I don't see your reply either, Monica

The forum software is rather shaky at the moment. If you cannot see an answer in the thread, just post an empty answer, a "." or something, and that will force the messages to show.

Thank you Leonie. What you said makes sense, however I don't see a project in Aperture called "My Photostream.,"  The only photostream projects I see are the automatically imported monthly ones.

You may have hidden the "Shared" section in Aperture.  There is ahidden "Show/Hide" button besides the caption "Shared". Hover the mouse pointer to the right of the caption to reveal the button and click.

Then you should see "iCloud". Clicking the iCloud view will show your Photo Streams.
