If you didn't then those pics are gone.
For future reference import your photos on your camera roll as you would a digital camera http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083 you can always sync those pic back to your phone via itunes.

Keep in mind that iOS backups are rolling backups, meaning each time a backup is created, the changed information is merged into the backup.
To explain a little more clearly, if the device is backed up every day for a week, there is one backup, not seven. The only reasons a new backup are created is if the device is updated (new iOS version) or is restored.

Not from iPhone or iTunes, just from your Mac machine.
It just depends on when your deletion happens, before or after your most recent sync?
If this happened after that, then probably you could rely on this data recovery program to restore deleted pictures from iPhone.
