Apr 14, 2014 7:11 PM in response to PhyllisJWby randers4,You need to stop sharing the same iCloud account. When you do, your synced data (such as contacts) is merged.
One of you needs to migrate to a new account. You can migrate a copy of the data to the new account, but you can't move the existing iCloud email account. If you're using iCloud for email, you might want to move your husband's phone to the new account rather than yours.
To do this, start by saving any photo stream photos on your phone that you want to keep to your camera roll (unless already there) by opening your my photo stream album, tapping Select, tapping the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow), then tapping Save to Camera Roll. If you are syncing notes with iCloud that you want to keep, you'll need to open each of your notes and email them to yourself so you can later copy and paste the text into new notes created in your new account. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account (which only deletes it from this device, not from iCloud), provide the password to turn off Find My iPhone and choose Keep on My iDevice when prompted. Then sign back in with a different Apple ID to create your new account and choose Merge to upload your data.
If you need to then change to the new account on your Mac, go to System Preferences>iCloud on your Mac, sign out, choose Delete at all of the prompts (since the data has already been migrated to your new account), then sign back in with your new iCloud ID.
Then you can each go to icloud.com and delete each other's data from your accounts.
